Diablo 4 Reveals New Consumables Coming in Season 5

Diablo IV Season 5 Leaked: New Consumables and Infernal Hordes Mode Unveiled!

Exciting news for Diablo IV players! Data mined from this week's Season 5 Public Test Realm (PTR) reveals the addition of four brand-new consumables, exclusive to the upcoming Infernal Hordes endgame mode. This roguelite-style challenge pits players against escalating waves of enemies, offering substantial rewards for overcoming increasing difficulty.

These consumables, designed to enhance gameplay within Infernal Hordes, include:

  • Antipathy: A rare anointment boosting resistance.
  • Blackblood: A common anointment improving a random core stat.
  • Vitriol: A magical anointment increasing damage over time.
  • Triune Anointment Cache: A new cache containing anointments, rare gear, and crafting materials.

Interestingly, the recipes for these anointments have also been discovered, suggesting crafting will play a role in acquiring them. While details regarding acquisition methods, usage costs, and crafting materials remain scarce at this time (the PTR runs until July 2nd), the potential for strategic item management and build customization is evident.

Infernal Hordes itself introduces a unique layer of challenge. Each 90-second wave requires strategic combat, followed by a choice of three modifiers impacting subsequent waves. Abyssal Scrolls, similar to Helltide's Profane Mindcage Elixir, offer a way to further increase the difficulty and rewards within this exciting new mode.

Stay tuned for further updates as players delve deeper into the Season 5 PTR and uncover more secrets about these exciting new consumables and the Infernal Hordes endgame mode.
