Mussels, a type of seafood described as a surprisingly water-filtering mollusk, are a prime example. Unlike other shellfish, their location is restricted within Storybook Vale's specific biomes, and their spawn rate can be unpredictable.
Locating Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Mussels are found on the ground throughout Mythopia, specifically within these areas:
- The Elysian Fields
- The Fiery Plains
- The Statue's Shadow
- Mount Olympus
While some players report easily finding them, others experience lower spawn rates. Certain areas, such as near Trials (e.g., Hades' Trial in the Elysian Fields), may have increased chances. Interestingly, clearing the secret bush area in the Elysian Fields during Hades' "A Moth to a Flame" quest can potentially boost Mussel spawns across Mythopia.
Mussel Uses in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Unlike some other Storybook Vale seafood, Mussels aren't used in crafting. Their culinary applications include:
- Garlic Steam Mussels
- Mussel Risotto
- Steamed Mussels
Alternatively, consume them for a +150 energy boost or sell them for 75 Gold Star Coins at Goofy's Stalls.
