Dragon Age: The Veilguard PC Optimization: A Deep Dive
More Details on PC Features, Companions, and Gameplay Coming Soon!
A recent developer update highlighted extensive PC optimization efforts. BioWare invested approximately 200,000 hours in performance and compatibility testing—40% of their total platform testing—ensuring a smooth experience. Further, nearly 10,000 hours were dedicated to user research, refining controls and UI across various setups.
The result? Native support for PS5 DualSense controllers (with haptic feedback), Xbox controllers, and keyboard/mouse setups, with seamless switching between them in-game and in menus. Customizable class-specific keybinds allow for personalized control schemes. Visual fidelity is enhanced with support for 21:9 ultrawide displays, a cinematic aspect ratio toggle, adjustable field of view (FOV), uncapped frame rates, full HDR, and ray tracing. Seamless Steam integration includes cloud saves, Remote Play, and Steam Deck compatibility.
