Square Enix's Foamstars Goes Free-to-Play This Fall!

Get ready for some bubbly 4v4 action! Square Enix has revealed that their premium shooter, Foamstars, will transition to a free-to-play model this October. This exciting news means that players will no longer need a PlayStation Plus subscription to join the fun.

Foamstars Free-to-Play Transition

The change takes effect October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC. Previously priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, the game will be completely free to download and play.

A Thank You to Early Adopters

Players who purchased Foamstars before the free-to-play launch will receive a special "Legacy Gift" as a token of appreciation. This exclusive bundle includes:

12 unique Bubble Beastie skins
1 exclusive Slide Board design
The "Legacy" title
