Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 introduces Sprites, helpful apparitions offering players valuable items and abilities. The Earth Sprite, the most beneficial but elusive of these, requires a bit of searching. Here's how to locate it and complete the related weapon offering quest.
Understanding Earth Sprite Spawns
While Fortnite boasts Battle Royale, OG, and Reload modes, the Earth Sprite is exclusive to the new Chapter 6 map in the main Battle Royale mode, including its Zero Build and Ranked variants. It can appear in approximately two dozen locations, each marked by a distinctive lantern (similar to the one pictured above, north of Burd). However, only two Earth Sprites spawn per match, meaning finding one often requires checking multiple potential locations.
All Possible Earth Sprite Locations
Numerous maps, such as the one above (courtesy of Perfect Score on YouTube), illustrate all 22 potential Earth Sprite locations across the Fortnite Chapter 6 map. These locations include:
- North of Flooded Frogs
- Northeast of Magic Mosses
- North of Demon's Dojo
- Southeast of Whiffy Warf
- Southwest of Flooded Frogs
- West of Magic Mosses
- Southeast of Pumped Power
- Southeast of Twinkle Terrace
- South of Lost Lake
- South of Brutal Boxcars
- East of the map (where green and brown biomes meet)
- Northwest of Shining Span
- West of Seaport City
- North of Burd
- East of Warriors Watch & South of Foxy Floodgate
- West of Canyon Crossing
- West of Canyon Crossing (atop the Snowy Mountain)
- South of the Snowy Mountain
- Between Masked Meadows and Hopeful Heights
- Three locations North and Northeast of Hopeful Heights (towards Seaport City & Shining Span)
Offering a Weapon to the Earth Sprite
Locating the Earth Sprite is the challenge. Once found, simply hold the interact button while facing it. This will give the Sprite your currently equipped weapon, completing the Week 1 Quest and rewarding you with 25,000 XP. Note that you will lose the weapon you offer, but receive a random Legendary rarity weapon in return.
While this quest requires patience, the high-rarity weapon reward makes it worthwhile, providing a significant advantage in Fortnite.
Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
