Updated on January 15, 2025, by Nathan Round: The Typhoon Blade has quickly become a staple weapon for players seeking a mobility boost and excelling in close combat. This guide has been updated to include guaranteed methods for acquiring the Typhoon Blade, providing a helpful resource for players struggling to find this coveted item.
How To Get The Typhoon Blade
Looting Typhoon Blade Stands
The most reliable method to secure the Typhoon Blade is by looting it from a Typhoon Blade Stand. These stands are scattered across the island at specific spawn points, though they don't appear every game. Key locations to check include:
- Flooded Frogs
- Magic Mosses
- Lost Lake
- Nightshift Forest
- Shogun's Solitude
To obtain the blade, simply approach a Typhoon Blade Stand and press the Interact Button.
Chests & Floor Loot
For players avoiding high-traffic areas, the Typhoon Blade can also be found in Chests or as floor loot. While this method relies on luck, it's a viable alternative if the stands in your area have already been looted.
Defeating Demon Warriors
Another way to acquire the Typhoon Blade is by defeating Demon Warriors. These enemies spawn at three active portals each match and are marked on the map. If a Demon Warrior is carrying a Typhoon Blade, defeating them will yield the weapon, although they might also drop one of two Oni Masks.
Purchase From Kendo
For a guaranteed way to get the Typhoon Blade, players can purchase it from Kendo using Gold Bars. Kendo is located northeast of Nightshift Forest, but you'll need to complete all five stages of his Melee Expertise Quests to unlock this option.
Defeating Shogun X (Mythic Only)
To obtain the Mythic version of the Typhoon Blade, players must defeat Shogun X at Shogun's Arena. This challenging encounter is the only way to secure the Mythic Typhoon Blade.
3How To Use The Typhoon Blade
The Typhoon Blade is not just a melee weapon; it doubles as a mobility tool thanks to its versatile abilities. However, it has limited durability, which depletes with each use, so use it wisely to avoid losing it entirely.
Here's a breakdown of the Typhoon Blade's abilities:
- Passive Ability: Equipping the blade increases sprint speed and reduces stamina consumption.
- Attack: Press the Shoot Button to execute a slash attack, dealing 30 damage per hit. Chain attacks for a combo, with the final hit dealing 50 damage. Use in midair for a downward strike that nullifies fall damage.
- Cyclone Slash: Press the Aim Button for a heavy attack, dealing 90 damage and repelling enemies. This ability has a 10-second cooldown.
- Wind Leap: During a sprint, press the Jump Button to leap into the air, nullifying fall damage.
- Air Dash: While in midair, press the Jump Button to dash forward, also nullifying fall damage.
