Hollow Knight: Silksong's Absence from Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live

Silksong Skips Gamescom ONL, Officially Confirmed

The Hollow Knight community experienced a wave of disappointment when Gamescom producer Geoff Keighley confirmed via Twitter (now X) that Hollow Knight: Silksong, the highly anticipated sequel, would not be featured at Gamescom Opening Night Live (ONL) 2024.

Initial excitement surged among fans after Keighley unveiled the initial ONL lineup, hinting at unannounced additions with a "+ More" notation. This fueled speculation that a much-awaited update on Silksong, following over a year of silence, was imminent.

However, Keighley later dispelled these hopes with a definitive statement on Twitter (X): "Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL." He reassured fans that Team Cherry remains actively developing the game.

While Silksong news is absent, Keighley highlighted a robust Gamescom ONL lineup including titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization 7, MARVEL Rivals, and others.
