PlayStation Productions made a splash at CES 2025, announcing several new video game adaptations slated for release in 2025 and beyond. The January 7th presentation showcased a diverse range of projects, expanding the company's reach into film and television.
Among the highlights:
- Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Anime: A new anime series based on the Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer mode, Legends, is in production with Crunchyroll and Aniplex, set for a 2027 premiere on Crunchyroll. Takanobu Mizumo will direct, with Gen Urobuchi handling story composition, and Sony Music contributing the soundtrack.
- Horizon Zero Dawn and Helldivers 2 Films: Film adaptations of Horizon Zero Dawn (produced by Sony Pictures) and Helldivers 2 (handled by Columbia Pictures) are officially in development, though details remain scarce.
