Acquiring the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Locate Statue Heads: Two statue heads are required to initiate the process. These are found within the Dark Aether Nexus, concealed inside destructible wooden boxes. Melee attacks are necessary to break open the boxes and retrieve the heads.

   

   • One box is near a palm tree, in the corner of the Dark Aether Nexus closest to the green Gateway portal.
   • The second is easily visible near the Juggernog Perk Machine on the same raised platform.

2. Repair the Statues: Take the statue heads to the Dig Site. Place each head on one of the two ruined Roman statues. One is near the Ammo Cache, the other near the Roman Mausoleum (Pack-a-Punch area).

3. Survive the Blood Sacrifice: Activating a repaired statue initiates a Blood Sacrifice. This involves eliminating multiple high-value target (HVT) versions of Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. Players start with 1 HP, and damage is absorbed by armor. A Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates are highly recommended.

   

   • Solo Strategy: Utilize a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler for invulnerability during the challenge.
   • Co-op Strategy: One player activates the sacrifice while another uses a Chopper Gunner from outside the Dig Site to eliminate the HVTs.
