Google Play Store may soon launch a game-changing feature: automatic app launch upon installation! This potential update, discovered through an APK teardown, could eliminate the extra steps of locating and opening newly downloaded apps.
The Details:
According to Android Authority, the feature, tentatively named "App Auto Open," would automatically open an app immediately after its download completes. This means no more hunting for icons or wondering about download status.
The feature's status is currently unconfirmed; it's based on analysis of Play Store version 41.4.19. No official announcement or release date has been made.
How it Might Work:
Upon successful download, a notification banner will appear for approximately five seconds. Depending on your phone settings, a sound or vibration alert may also be included to ensure you notice the notification. Importantly, the feature would be entirely optional, allowing users to enable or disable it based on personal preference.
While details are still unofficial, we’ll provide updates as soon as Google releases official information. Stay tuned!
