Gordon Ramsay, the renowned chef, is the latest celebrity to join Supercell's roster of collaborations. He'll be featured in Hay Day, starting today, showcasing a surprisingly calm demeanor. Ramsay steps into the shoes of the absent Greg, introducing new in-game events and features.
Supercell's previous collaboration with Erling Haaland paved the way for these celebrity partnerships, but even then, a Gordon Ramsay appearance was unexpected. The in-game event includes humorous trailers highlighting Ramsay's newfound serenity, even featuring an apology to former Hell's Kitchen contestants.
From today until the 24th, Ramsay will replace Greg, who's supposedly gone fishing, and will guide players through new content, special events, and more.
A New Harvest While Ramsay's relaxed approach in this collaboration is a departure from his usual fiery personality, it's not his first foray into mobile gaming. He has previously released mobile games based on his television shows. This partnership, however, further underscores Supercell's growing interest in celebrity collaborations.
Interestingly, Supercell is focusing not only on fictional characters but also on real-life celebrities. Considering the generally older demographic of their fanbase, this strategy seems targeted towards appealing to a broader audience.
