Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, unveils his latest creation, MindsEye, in a captivating PlayStation State of Play showcase.
The new trailer offers a glimpse into this cutting-edge spy thriller, echoing familiar elements from Benzies' previous work. Expect thrilling third-person gunfights, stunning cinematic sequences, and intense drive-by shootouts. Witness the action firsthand in the cinematic trailer below.
MindsEye follows Jacob Diaz, a protagonist burdened by a neural implant, the MindsEye, which fragments his memories, leaving him with jarring flashbacks from his military past. His journey is a quest to uncover the truth behind his amnesia, forcing him to confront an AI-powered military force determined to obstruct his path.
The game, a AAA action-adventure title, has been in development for several years. Following his departure from Rockstar Games, Benzies established Build a Rocket Boy, collaborating with IO Interactive (Hitman developers) on MindsEye. The project also incorporates the Everywhere platform, previously described as a "high-budget Roblox" following a studio visit in 2024.
While the new trailer doesn't explicitly feature Everywhere, MindsEye promises an exhilarating action experience from a leading figure in the gaming industry. Prepare for its release sometime in the summer of 2025.
