*Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii* offers Goro Majima not one, but two unique fighting styles, including the swashbuckling "Sea Dog" pirate style. This style boasts four potent finishers perfect for taking down large crowds. However, the journey to collect all the dark instruments in this thrilling adventure is no small feat.
How To Obtain The Dark God’s Violin in Pirate Yakuza
The Dark God’s Violin marks your first foray into the world of Dark Instruments in Pirate Yakuza and is essential for progressing through the main story. You'll encounter this quest in Chapter 2, where your crewmate Jason will lead you to rendezvous with an old friend. Unfortunately, you'll find that the Devil Flag pirates have already struck, claiming the life of Jason’s friend and stealing the precious Pharoh Stone.
This tragedy introduces you to Misaki, the now-orphaned daughter of Jason's fallen friend, who joins the Goro Pirates in a quest for vengeance. Following this storyline, you'll head to the islands east of Madlantis, where you'll face a formidable Devil Flag fleet. Focus your efforts on the boss ship to advance to the next phase, which involves boarding and defeating the Devil Flags.
Upon victory, you'll unlock the Dark God’s Violin. The game then invites you to test this new finishing move in a thrilling 100-enemy brawl on the island. After conquering the island, a cutscene introduces you to the leaders of the Devil Flag fleet: Yakuza, Ronin, Shinobi, and Zeus. They challenge the Goro Pirates, kicking off an epic side quest. While not required for the main story, defeating these formidable foes is essential for collecting all Dark Instruments.
How To Obtain The Dark God’s Ocarina in Pirate Yakuza
After securing the first boss ship and engaging in the initial 100-enemy brawl, keep an eye out for Devil Flag markers across the seas of Pirate Yakuza. Defeating these ships earns you Devil Flags, and you'll need 70 to unlock the next Dark Instrument. Tackle any Devil Flag ships or treasure islands you encounter to amass these flags quickly.
Once you have the required 70 flags, Atali Island will appear on your map. Prepare a robust landing party, as you'll face multiple waves of enemies before reaching the treasure chest containing the Dark God’s Ocarina. However, you must first defeat Devil Flag Captain Yakuza to claim it. After the battle, the Ocarina will be yours.

How To Obtain The Dark God’s Guitar in Pirate Yakuza
Following your victory over Captain Yakuza, a series of cutscenes and new objectives unfold. The Devil Flag Captain tricks you into believing you'll find the Pharoh Stone, leading to another 100-enemy brawl. Use this opportunity to wield the Dark God’s Ocarina against the mob.
You'll soon learn that Zeus is headed to Flame Island. To tackle this challenging segment, you need a three-star ranking and 130 Devil Flags. Continuously engage with Devil Flag Pirates while sailing to gather these flags.
Upon reaching the required number, navigate to the Flame Entrance Lighthouse to trigger a cutscene. You must then conquer four treasure islands: Sunset, Heatwave, Welldone, and Scorching Heat. Remember, you can't use health items during these battles, so ensure Goro and his landing crew are well-prepared.
After navigating these islands, you'll face another fleet battle. Focus on the boss ship, board it, and defeat the first mate. This allows Goro and a select team of Jason, Masaru, Minami, and Saejima to land on Flame Island. Engage in smaller battles before confronting Captain Ronin. Use your Dark Instruments to defeat him and his crew, claiming the Dark God of the Earth’s Guitar from the treasure chest.
How To Obtain the Dark God’s Saxophone in Pirate Yakuza
The Dark God’s Saxophone is the final piece in your collection of Dark Instruments, requiring a Pirate Rank Four to unlock. Boost your rank by completing main story missions, recruiting new crew members, and engaging in mini-games and side quests. You'll also need 220 Devil Flags.
Sail to the Frost Entrance Lighthouse to trigger another cutscene, then engage the Devil Flag fleet blocking the entrance to Frost Island. Four additional islands (Snowview, Coldwave, Icicle Island, and Glacial) are ripe for plundering and collecting more Devil Flags.
After defeating Captain Shinobi’s First Fleet, disembark to face the Devil Flag pirates on the island. Navigate through battles, a cave, and a recovery area to reach the final boss fight against Captain Shinobi. Defeat him to trigger a cutscene where Zeus kidnaps Misaki, ending the Frost Island level with Goro claiming the Dark God’s Saxophone.
One final battle awaits against Zeus to rescue Misaki. This challenging two-stage battle requires a nearly fully upgraded Goromaru. Although not necessary for collecting all Dark Instruments, it's the climactic finish to your epic journey.
