Guide: Completing Canker Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Author : Blake Update:Apr 22,2025

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the "Canker" side quest is an engaging early mission that you can access after completing "The Jaunt." This quest is a great opportunity to pick up a mace or earn some extra Groschen, so let's dive into how to successfully complete it.

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" quest, you'll need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. The ideal time to start this quest is during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes. You can approach Gules while he's enjoying a drink before the ceremony. Alternatively, if you visit Semine earlier, you can speak to Gules during his patrol. Inquire about his past with the bandits and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker, one of these former bandits, will be your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Once you accept the quest, Canker's location will appear on your map, situated north of Nebakov Mill. Be cautious as the path to this location is often ambushed by bandits. You can choose to sneak past them, engage in combat, or simply flee. These random encounters are usually not too challenging, but you'll want to conserve your health for the upcoming fight at the bandit camp.

The bandit camp is nestled in the mountains and can be tricky to find. You'll need to navigate through a narrow gap to reach it, similar to accessing the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Prepare for battle as you'll encounter several bandits alongside Canker. While some bandits may flee depending on the order you take them down, it's important to eliminate most of them. Fortunately, Canker will not run away, ensuring you can fulfill the quest's requirement to kill him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his companions, loot Canker's body to find the Light Mace, which is crucial for proving you've completed the task. Feel free to take any additional items from his body as well. Once you have the mace, head back to Gules to officially finish the "Canker" quest.

Upon completing "Canker" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can proceed with the next quest involving Gules' former bandit allies. Once the day has passed, speak with Gules again to start the "Handsome Charlie" quest.
