HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's total mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced game mechanics, new areas, and game modes. The inclusion of Harumasa as a free character, alongside a promotional banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to the revenue surge.
Remarkably, the 1.4 update sustained player engagement far beyond typical post-update trends. While spending usually declines sharply within a week, Zenless Zone Zero maintained daily revenues above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and remained above $500,000 even after two weeks.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still falls short of HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
