MiHoYo's upcoming action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero, unveiled exciting new content in a recent pre-release livestream. This version 1.0 showcase, just weeks before the July 4th launch, offers a final glimpse at the game before its App Store and Google Play debut.
Set in a post-apocalyptic New Eridu, the last human city after the devastating Hollows event, players take on the role of a "Proxy" to explore this urban fantasy world. A departure from MiHoYo's usual sci-fi and fantasy settings (like Honkai and Genshin Impact), Zenless Zone Zero has the potential to be their biggest success yet.
High Stakes for MiHoYo?
Launching on July 4th, Zenless Zone Zero joins MiHoYo's already impressive portfolio, built significantly on the phenomenal success of Genshin Impact. The livestream highlighted the game's unique urban fantasy setting and emphasized its music, showcasing gameplay and new areas with a musical performance.
Could MiHoYo be following in the footsteps of Supercell, creating a string of hit mobile games? Or will Zenless Zone Zero prove too ambitious? Only time will tell.
