Marvel's Wolverine: Updates on Hold

While Insomniac revealed ambitious future plans in an interview with Variety, Co-Head Chad Dezern remained mum on Marvel's Wolverine. He stated that while a new team is working on exciting projects, they're focused on existing titles and aren't ready to share information about upcoming releases, including a potential 2025 release date for Wolverine. Dezern simply said, "As much as we have pent-up excitement, we've got to hold on to it."
Marvel's Wolverine: Initial Announcement and Subsequent Updates
Initially unveiled during the PlayStation Showcase 2021 with a cinematic trailer, Marvel's Wolverine is slated for PlayStation 5. In a 2023 interview with Kinda Funny, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Creative Director Bryan Intihar confirmed Wolverine's existence within the same universe as Spider-Man, stating, "they're all in 1048." While fans anticipated crossovers following the 2021 announcements, only a Wolverine-themed suit, "The Best There Is," for Miles Morales in Spider-Man 2 has materialized. In December 2023, a ransomware attack briefly exposed some of Wolverine's development assets and gameplay footage.

It will be available in Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions, the latter offering additional exclusive suits.
