JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Game Revived by KLab Partnership

KLab Inc. provides an update on their upcoming JoJo's Bizarre Adventure mobile game. Initially announced in early 2020 and developed in collaboration with Shengqu Games, the project faced delays due to unforeseen circumstances with their development partner. Now, KLab has partnered with Wanda Cinemas Games of Beijing to revitalize the project.

After overcoming development hurdles, the game is back on track for a global release (excluding Japan) in 2026. Wanda Cinemas Games boasts a strong portfolio of successful mobile titles, including Hoolai Three Kingdoms Mobile Game, Calabash Brothers, Fortress Mobile Game, Saint Seiya: Legend of Justice, Tensura: King of Monsters, and The Legend of Qin.

For those unfamiliar with the source material, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a long-running manga series by Hirohiko Araki, first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1987. The series, which has also been adapted into anime and films, features a surreal world filled with supernatural elements and epic battles against foes ranging from ancient vampires to interdimensional threats.

This isn't the franchise's first foray into gaming; a Super Famicom RPG debuted in 1993, and numerous titles followed, including popular Android games like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Shooters (2014), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Records (2017), and JoJo's Pitter Patter Pop! (2018).
