Nexon announced the global shutdown of KartRider: Drift, the mobile, console, and PC game launched in January 2023. This closure affects all global platforms, but the Asian (Taiwan and South Korea) servers will remain operational, undergoing a future update. Nexon hasn't revealed specifics about the Asian version's changes or potential global relaunches.
Asian Servers Unaffected
The shutdown does not include the Asian versions of the game. These will continue to be supported.

The exact date of the global shutdown remains undisclosed. The game is currently still available on the Google Play Store.
Reasons for Shutdown
Despite efforts to provide a smooth global experience, KartRider: Drift faced significant challenges:
- Heavy Automation: Players criticized the game's automated elements, leading to repetitive gameplay.
- Technical Issues: Optimization problems on certain Android devices and numerous bugs negatively impacted the player experience.
Due to these setbacks, Nexon decided to cease global operations and refocus development on the PC versions in Korea and Taiwan, aiming for a more refined and successful experience.
