Warhorse Studios' medieval RPG sequel debuted on February 4th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It swiftly climbed Steam's most-played games chart, peaking at 159,351 concurrent players. This surpasses the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 concurrent players seven years prior. The actual peak is likely higher, considering console sales, though those figures aren't publicly released by Sony or Microsoft.

Warhorse celebrated the game's success on Twitter, hailing it as a "triumph." The game's strong performance on Steam, where it's currently the top-selling title by revenue, surpassing games like Counter-Strike 2, Civilization 7, and Monster Hunter: Wilds, suggests sustained popularity.

IGN awarded Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 a 9/10, praising its "excellent melee combat and exceptional story." The review described the game as a "coronation," successfully realizing the potential of its predecessor.
