Embark on a rewarding side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: The Axe From the Lake. This guide details how to complete this quest, from discovery to final reward.
Uncovering the Quest:
Locate Zdenyek the Mouth in the Tachov tavern. Engage him in conversation, prompting him to share informative details. He'll reveal the legend of the lake's mythical axe, initiating the quest.
Locating the Axe:
Before venturing to the quest marker, gather a spade. These are commonly found in graveyards or can be purchased from general traders.
Proceed to the quest marker, a broad area. Begin at the pier, following the path northward. Henry will comment on an undamaged tree and later, a large rock, guiding your progress.
You'll eventually discover a gravesite near a tree. Excavate the grave to unearth a gemstone silver ring, five marigolds, and a broken axe.
Repairing the Axe:
Take the broken axe to blacksmith Radovan in Tachov. He'll repair it for a fee of 699.5 groschen and a fastening material (also obtainable from Radovan).
The repaired axe, now the Adorned Axe, completes the quest. Return to Zdenyek to finalize the task and retain the Adorned Axe for use in combat.
