Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking an attempt to cancel the project. The controversy gained momentum after news of the game's ban in Saudi Arabia surfaced online, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes. This led to attacks on the developers across social media, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage support for the studio.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information. He confirmed that review codes would be distributed "in the coming days" following the game's completion in early December. These codes are expected to reach streamers and reviewers approximately four weeks prior to release, allowing ample time for previews and reviews. Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated just a week after code distribution.
