This guide details Atakhan, the new neutral objective in League of Legends, introduced as part of the Noxus Invasion for Season 1 of 2025. Unlike other Epic Monsters, Atakhan's spawn location and form are dynamically determined by in-game actions.
Atakhan's Spawn: Time and Location
- Spawn Time: Always spawns at the 20-minute mark (Baron Nashor's spawn is shifted to 25 minutes).
- Pit Location: The Atakhan Pit appears in the river at the 14-minute mark. Its position (Top or Bot lane river) depends on which side accumulates more damage and kills in the early game. This provides teams a 6-minute preparation window. The pit features permanent walls, intensifying combat.
Atakhan's Forms and Buffs
Atakhan manifests in one of two forms, influenced by early-game activity:
- Voracious Atakhan: Spawns in games with less champion damage and kills. His buff encourages aggressive play:
- +40 gold per champion takedown (kills and assists) for the slaying team, lasting the entire game.
- One-time death mitigation for each team member (150 seconds duration): instead of dying, they enter stasis (2 seconds) before returning to base (3.5 seconds). The killing enemy receives 100 gold and 1 Blood Petal.
- Ruinous Atakhan: Spawns in high-action games with significant champion damage and kills. His buff provides a scaling reward:
- +25% to all Epic Monster rewards (including previously slain objectives) for the slaying team, lasting the entire game.
- 6 Blood Petals per team member.
- 6 large and 6 small Blood Rose plants spawn near his pit, granting additional stats upon destruction.
Blood Roses and Petals
Blood Roses, a new Rift plant, spawn near champion deaths and the Atakhan Pit (also after Ruinous Atakhan's defeat). They grant Blood Petals, a stacking buff:
- 25 XP (potentially increased by up to 100% for players with low K/D/A).
- 1 Adaptive Force (converts to AD or AP).
Two sizes exist:
- Small Blood Roses: 1 Blood Petal.
- Large Blood Roses: 3 Blood Petals.
Atakhan introduces a new layer of strategic depth to League of Legends, forcing teams to adapt their strategies based on his unpredictable form and location.
