Magic: The Gathering - 2 New Cards from Aetherdrift

First up, let's take a closer look at the Cloudspire Coordinator. This uncommon creature card is designed to encapsulate the essence of Aetherdrift's red-white color pairing, representing the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem. This team was first introduced in the 2018 set Battlebond, which focused on 2v2 gameplay. The card's mechanics revolve around vehicle piloting, with its 3 power enabling it to crew vehicles directly. Additionally, its activated ability generates Pilot token creatures, allowing for more strategic vehicle usage in your red-white deck during an Aetherdrift draft.
The second card we're unveiling is the rare enchantment, Count on Luck. With a straightforward 3-mana cost featuring all-red pips, this card introduces an "impulse draw" mechanism. At the beginning of each of your turns, you exile the top card of your library and have the opportunity to play it that turn. This ability provides a consistent flow of extra cards for your mono-red deck, provided you can utilize them immediately. It's a game of "use it or lose it" that can significantly enhance your gameplay strategy.
We're also excited to showcase Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. While the extended-art version expands the artwork by removing the card frame on the sides, the First-Place Foils introduce a new element to Aetherdrift. These golden cards are exclusively available in a randomized buy-a-box promo pack included with every Aetherdrift box. Not only do all the rares in the set receive this treatment, but 10 full-art lands do as well, adding a touch of luxury to your collection.
Mark your calendars: Aetherdrift will be available both in paper and online starting February 14, with prereleases beginning on February 7. To delve deeper into the set's mechanics, click here.
