NetEase Games has confirmed a steady stream of new heroes for its Marvel Rivals game. According to creative director Guangyun Chen, a new playable character will be released every six weeks, coinciding with the launch of new seasonal content. Each three-month season will be split into two halves, each introducing a new hero. This commitment to regular updates aims to maintain player engagement and continuously enhance the gaming experience.

Marvel Rivals Season 1, themed "Eternal Night Falls," showcased this plan by initially releasing Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, followed by The Thing and the Human Torch.
