Marvel Rivals finally has cheaters

Marvel Rivals: A Thriving Shooter with a Cheating Problem

The popularity of NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals is undeniable. Its Steam launch saw a peak concurrent player count surpassing 444,000 – a figure rivaling the population of Miami. This "Overwatch killer" has clearly resonated with players, despite some key issues.

One major concern is the increasing prevalence of cheaters. Reports detail players gaining unfair advantages through various hacks, including instant targeting, wall-hacking, and one-hit kills. While NetEase's anti-cheat measures are reportedly effective in detecting suspicious activity, the problem persists.

Performance optimization is another area needing improvement. Users with mid-range graphics cards, like the Nvidia GeForce 3050, have reported noticeable frame rate drops. However, despite these performance hiccups, many players praise the game's enjoyable gameplay and fair monetization. A significant plus is the non-expiring nature of battle passes, relieving players of the pressure to constantly grind. This feature alone could significantly impact player perception and retention.
