Remember themed popcorn buckets? Of course you do. Well, the upcoming Minecraft movie is jumping on the consumer trend bandwagon with its own unique concessions novelties set to debut during its theatrical run.
According to images shared by DiscussingFilm on X / Twitter, the Minecraft movie will feature a TNT box as its popcorn bucket, complemented by a chicken jockey drink container—a nod to the game's beloved characters. These items seem to be exclusive to Cinemark theaters in the United States, but other theaters may have their own surprises in store for Minecraft fans. We'll just have to wait and see what they come up with.

These Minecraft-themed novelties are the latest in a trend that started with the viral R2-D2 popcorn bucket from 2019’s Rise of Skywalker. That bucket's popularity sparked a wave of excitement among theater executives, leading to the creation of a modern theatrical tradition that, while perhaps overdone and pricey, continues to draw crowds to the cinema. If it enhances the movie-going experience and brings people together, I'm all for it.
