Get ready for an exciting new chapter in *Monster Hunter Now* with the launch of Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, set to begin on March 6th, 2025. Niantic has unveiled a wealth of thrilling content that awaits players in this upcoming season, including fresh challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and new monsters to hunt.
Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5
Before the season officially kicks off, players can look forward to a special event with the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its grand debut ahead of its first-ever appearance in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. As Season 5 launches, you'll also encounter Glavenus and Arzuros joining the fray.
Weapon balance is being fine-tuned to enhance the gameplay experience across all weapon types. The Sword & Shield is set for a significant upgrade, making it easier to target breakable parts like tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward well-timed taps with enhanced performance, offering more satisfying and powerful combos.
The Guard skill is also receiving a much-needed boost. Previously, leveling up Guard had minimal impact, but with the new changes, higher skill levels will significantly reduce damage taken when blocking. Further details on weapon and skill adjustments will be revealed in the full patch notes on March 6th.
And There Is More!
For those struggling with inventory management, *Monster Hunter Now* Season 5 introduces an Item Box Expansion available as a Supply Item. This expansion will grant you an additional 250 slots, helping to keep your inventory organized and clutter-free.
In celebration of *Monster Hunter Now's* 1.5-Year Anniversary on March 17th, a new feature will be introduced, allowing you to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for a variety of rewards. Expect to find items like Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards available for trade.
