Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 also made a splash. Scheduled for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to the iconic action-slasher gameplay.
The reveal trailer highlighted Ryu Hayabusa's return as the protagonist, navigating a visually stunning cyberpunk city perpetually drenched in toxic rain. Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces innovative mechanics, including swift traversal using wires and rails, as seen in the gameplay footage. Players will battle hordes of genetically modified soldiers and terrifying creatures from another realm, all while striving to lift an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.
Adding to the excitement, a significant remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2, already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (and included in Game Pass), was also featured. Team Ninja's UE5 port boasts completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments, incorporating elements from later games in the series and adding three new playable characters.
Koei Tecmo's extensive efforts on both Ninja Gaiden 4 and the Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster are undoubtedly deserving of significant community attention.
