Nintendo Mag Interview: Ink-redible Lore from Splatoon Stars

A recent interview in Nintendo's Summer 2024 magazine reveals heartwarming details about the interactions between Splatoon's popular musical groups. The "Great Big Three-Group Summit" featured Deep Cut (Shiver, Big Man, and Frye), Off the Hook (Pearl and Marina), and the Squid Sisters (Callie and Marie).

The article highlights a memorable trip Deep Cut orchestrated for the Squid Sisters, showcasing the Splatlands' unique landscapes, from the breathtaking Scorch Gorge to the bustling Hagglefish Market. Callie fondly reminisced about the experience, highlighting the stunning architecture. Marie, meanwhile, playfully teased Callie and suggested a reunion with Off the Hook, prompting a discussion about overdue tea time and a potential visit to a new sweets shop in Inkpolis Square, an invitation extended to Frye as well, with a playful jab about their past karaoke rivalry.

Separately, Splatoon 3's Patch Ver. 8.1.0 launched on July 17th, focusing on multiplayer improvements. These include weapon adjustments, enhanced gameplay smoothness, and addressing issues like obstructed visibility caused by scattered weapons and gear. Further balance adjustments for select weapons are planned for the next update, slated for the end of the current season.
