Nintendo Switch 2 Rumors: New Physical Game Case Size Leaked?

Speculation about the Nintendo Switch 2 has shifted from the console itself to the size of its game cases, following a potential leak from a French retailer.

As noted by Nintendo Life, journalist Felipe Lima discovered a listing for a Take-Two Interactive game on Fnac, a French retailer, revealing the purported dimensions of the Switch 2 game case. If accurate, these dimensions indicate a slightly larger case than the current Switch.

A Reddit user, HertzBurst, created a visual comparison showcasing the difference between the two case sizes. The leaked dimensions are approximately 5.1 inches (13 centimeters) by 7.7 inches (19.5 centimeters).

While larger than the standard Switch case, the Switch 2 case remains considerably smaller than those used for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 games. Although unconfirmed, it's plausible that retailers would receive these dimensions ahead of launch to prepare for stocking and display.

A release window for the Nintendo Switch 2 remains unannounced by Nintendo, but speculation points towards a launch between June and September. This is based on hands-on events scheduled until June and a statement from Nacon, the publisher of Greedfall 2, suggesting a pre-September release.
