Baldur's Gate 3 offers a plethora of romantic encounters, but some are easily overlooked. One such hidden gem is the brief yet intriguing encounter with Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress. This unique romance can be missed amidst the game's bustling narrative, especially during the pivotal moments of Act III. In this guide, we'll reveal how to locate Naoise and guide you through the steps to successfully romance her.
Where to Find Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3
Visit Sharress' Caress in Act III:
To encounter Naoise, you must progress to the early stages of Act III. As you journey towards Baldur's Gate, you'll traverse Wyrm's Crossing. Your initial visit to this area requires a meeting with Raphael at Sharess' Caress, a well-known brothel located on the eastern side of the bridge leading into the city.
If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, utilize the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing fast-travel point to arrive directly at Sharess' Caress's front porch.
Look for Nymph's Grotto:
Naoise awaits within the Nymph's Grotto, a secluded chamber on the second floor. Access this room by passing through the door to the outdoor area; you'll identify it by the green light and ivy adorning its entrance. The door is locked but can be opened with a lock-picking skill check of 10 or higher.
How to Romance Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3
Interact with Naoise:
Upon entering, approach the bed where you'll find Naoise engaged with Jara, a Flaming Heart soldier. Your interruption leads to a confrontation as Jara's tadpole interacts with yours, prompting her transformation into a Mindflayer. Defeat Jara to proceed.
After the battle, Naoise's interest shifts to you, revealing her fascination with Mindflayers. Choose the following dialogue options to steer the conversation toward romance:
"Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken."
"Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset."
An Insight check will indicate Naoise's readiness for romance. Continue with:
"That creature aroused you, didn't it?"
"What did you have in mind?"
'Close your eyes and listen'
This leads to a unique, mind-based romantic encounter where Naoise asks you to envision your state of being. Select 'Contented' for a brief romantic scene. Post-encounter, Naoise's interest wanes, and she'll mention that she can offer 'rapture' only once.
Notably, existing relationships with characters like Karlach remain unaffected by this encounter, as do other romanceable characters. Completing this romance also earns you the 'Carnal Rituals of Sharess' inspiration point from Shadowheart.
As a reward for romancing Naoise, you'll receive the Rapture boon, granting a passive 1d6 bonus to nearly all ability checks.
