Vampire Survivors has just released a thrilling new free DLC, the Emerald Diorama, which introduces a fascinating crossover with Square Enix’s iconic fantasy RPG series, SaGa. This marks the game's most expansive update to date, bringing a fresh layer of JRPG excitement to the survival genre.
Emerald Diorama Brings JRPG Vibes to Vampire Survivors
The Emerald Diorama DLC enriches the game with a new stage designed like a mini world map, offering players a sense of world-hopping adventure. This stage is accompanied by over a dozen new characters, ranging from puppeteers to singers of cursed melodies, adding depth and variety to your gameplay experience.
In addition to new characters, the DLC introduces over 16 new weapons and a novel Glimmer system. This system allows players to randomly acquire new skills during runs, enhancing strategic possibilities. Furthermore, the update features nine new music tracks, immersing players even deeper into the game's atmosphere.
To unlock the Emerald Diorama, players should navigate to Moongolow and engage with a new merchant. Purchasing the Emerald Disk for 50,000 gold is the first step, followed by unlocking various content elements progressively.
The DLC also introduces the concept of character parties, allowing players to form and command their own mini-squads. For a closer look at what the Emerald Diorama has to offer, check out the launch trailer below.
Additionally, two new Adventures, which are essentially mini-campaigns, each with six chapters, have been added. "To End an Ice Age" is tailored for the base game, while "Tides of the Foscari" extends the narrative and gameplay of the new DLC.
Alongside the DLC, There’s Another Free Update
Simultaneously, the base game has received another free update named The Coop, which introduces a quirky chicken-themed twist. Players can now control a new character, Gazebo, and utilize a new weapon along with a relic that accelerates gameplay.
The Coop update also offers a range of new achievements and the opportunity to unlock Darkana. By collecting 500 lifetime floor chickens, players can unlock the full potential of The Coop update. A helpful tip for players: refrain from killing any enemies for the first minute during The Coop gameplay to unlock the Gaze of Gaea, which, when evolved with Parm Aegis, further unlocks Gazebo.
Vampire Survivors, including the free DLC Emerald Diorama and the free update The Coop, is available for download from the Google Play Store. This update also enables cross-platform saving, allowing players to continue their progress across PC, Xbox, Android, and iOS devices.
