The new year in Pokémon GO brings a wave of new Pokémon, and Shroodle is the latest addition. Unlike some, Shroodle isn't readily available in the wild. This guide details how to obtain this Poison-type Pokémon and its evolution, Grafaiai.
Shroodle's Pokémon GO Debut
Shroodle, the Toxic Mouse Pokémon, arrived in Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Following the event, it remains accessible to players.
Is Shroodle Shiny?
At launch, Shroodle's Shiny variant is unavailable in Pokémon GO. Expect its Shiny form to appear in a future event, possibly a Poison-type or Team GO Rocket event.
Catching Shroodle
Shroodle isn't a wild spawn. The only method to acquire it is by hatching 12KM Eggs. These eggs have a chance of containing Shroodle, with increased odds during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. The 12KM egg pool will likely include Shroodle post-event.
Obtaining 12KM Eggs
12KM Eggs are a rare commodity, obtainable only by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event presents an ideal opportunity to stock up on these eggs due to increased Team GO Rocket activity and easier Rocket Radar acquisition.
Acquiring Grafaiai
Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuted on January 15th. It's not found in the wild or through eggs; evolution is the sole method of acquisition. Evolving Shroodle requires 50 Shroodle Candy, necessitating multiple Shroodle hatches or using a Shroodle as your buddy Pokémon.
