Sims Nostalgic Duo Returns on PC for 25th Anniversary

Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Legacy Collections!

EA and Maxis are throwing a fantastic party for The Sims' 25th anniversary, bringing back the beloved original titles! Both The Sims and The Sims 2 are now available on PC via the newly released Legacy Collections and the Sims 25th Birthday Bundle.

The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available individually or together for $40 in the Sims 25th Birthday Bundle. Each collection includes nearly all expansions and stuff packs – The Sims 2: Legacy Collection notably omits the IKEA Home Stuff pack. However, both boast bonus content: The Sims receives the Throwback Fit Kit, and The Sims 2 gets a Grunge Revival Kit.

This marks the first time in over a decade that both games have been easily accessible. The Sims was initially a disc-only release, posing significant challenges for modern PC users. While The Sims 2 had a brief resurgence with an Ultimate Collection on Origin, it was eventually removed. These Legacy Collections ensure all four main Sims games are now readily available digitally.

Originally reviewed with scores of 9.5/10 and 8.5/10 respectively, these classic titles retain their charm. Despite the series' evolution, the originals offer unique gameplay, simplicity, and a nostalgic experience.
