Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, is critically ill. His family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his mounting medical expenses and living costs while he's unable to work.
According to a PC Gamer report, Johnson's wife, Kim, and family discovered him unconscious and barely alive in his hotel room after he failed to appear at a charity event he was scheduled to host for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22nd. Emergency responders had difficulty finding a pulse.
The GoFundMe campaign initially set a goal of $50,000 but has already surpassed that target significantly, raising over $144,791 from nearly 2,200 donors. Beyond his extensive video game voice acting career with Bethesda, Johnson is also a long-time public address announcer for the Washington Capitals and has acted in various film and television projects.
His extensive Bethesda credits include Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many other roles. The gaming community is rallying to support this talented and well-loved performer during this difficult time.
