Snapchat has introduced a new feature for 2024: Snap Recap! Unlike other year-end recaps focusing on statistics, Snap Recap offers a curated slideshow of your Snapchat memories, featuring a randomly selected Snap from each month.

What is Snap Recap?

Snap Recap is a newly launched feature (2024) that compiles your year's Snapchat content into a fun, visual summary. Instead of detailed statistics, it highlights a single Snap per month, offering a nostalgic journey through your year. The recap seamlessly transitions into the Memories feature, allowing you to explore past memories from the same dates in previous years.

How to Access Your 2024 Snap Recap

Accessing your 2024 Snap Recap is simple:

1. From the main Snapchat camera screen, swipe up to access Memories. (Avoid pressing the shutter button.)
2. Your 2024 Snap Recap will be prominently displayed as a highlighted video.
3. Tap the video (avoiding the share icon) to view your recap. The slideshow plays automatically, but you can tap the screen to advance.

You can save, edit, share, or even add your Snap Recap to your Story. Like other Snaps, it remains private unless you choose to share it.

Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?

If your Snap Recap isn't appearing, don't worry. Snapchat confirms a staggered rollout, meaning it might not be generated yet. The number of saved Snaps is a factor; infrequent use may prevent a recap from being created. Unfortunately, you cannot request a recap if it doesn't automatically appear.
