Sony has rolled out fresh updates for both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, enhancing various features and improving the overall user experience.
The PS5's latest update, version 25.02-11.00.00, is a 1.3GB download that brings several exciting changes. Now, when you dive into your activities, you'll find that the details are more comprehensively displayed on cards, with any potential spoilers cleverly hidden to keep the surprises intact. Additionally, communication just got a fun boost with the introduction of Unicode 16.0 emojis, which you can now use in your messages to add more flair to your chats.
For families, there are updates to parental controls. When setting the restriction level to Late Teens or Older, the Communication and User-Generated Content setting will default to Restrict. If you had previously set it to Late Teens or Older, your settings remain unchanged and will be shown as Customize.
On the technical side, Sony has fine-tuned the system software's performance and stability, ensuring smoother gameplay and a more reliable experience. They've also polished the messages and usability on various screens for a more seamless user interface.
