The previous generation, the Sony XM4, was already an outstanding headphone, but the XM5 introduces crucial enhancements in noise cancellation and comfort. Equipped with a second processor and double the number of microphones dedicated to filtering out ambient noise, the XM5 sets a new standard. The redesigned earcups fit more snugly, creating a better seal and thus improving passive noise isolation. The noise cancellation is notably superior to the XM4 and rivals any other noise-canceling headset in its price range.
