Radiangames has exciting news for racing game enthusiasts with the announcement of Speed Demons 2, a side-scrolling highway racer that echoes the high-octane thrill of the iconic Burnout series. Originally launched on mobile platforms, this sequel is now speeding its way to PC and is slated for release later this year.
In a unique twist on traditional racing game mechanics, Radiangames has innovated the control scheme for Speed Demons 2. The developer explains, "The controls are focused on movement, not steering. You'll still have gas, brake, and turbo (or ability) buttons, but you move the analog stick (or mouse) up and down to control your vehicle's direction." This approach might sound unconventional, but the team assures it's "immediately intuitive once you start playing."

Speed Demons 2 promises a diverse range of gameplay with ten distinct modes. Fans of the Burnout series will feel right at home with modes like Pursuit, Takedown, and Rampage, which challenge players to wreak havoc on the road within a set time limit. For those who prefer precision over destruction, the Scratchless mode offers a nod to Burnout's Burning Lap, tasking players to reach the finish line with minimal damage to their vehicle.
