Stellar Blade's Latest Update Introduces Bugs, But a Hotfix is Coming
The highly anticipated Patch 1.009 for Stellar Blade, featuring Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, has unfortunately introduced several game-breaking glitches. Players are reporting softlocks in a main quest and crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie function. Some cosmetic items from the update are also failing to render correctly.
Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix to address these issues. They advise players to avoid forcing quest progression until the patch is released, as attempts to circumvent the bugs could lead to permanent softlocks.
NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements
Patch 1.009 delivers a significant amount of new content, beginning with the exciting NieR: Automata collaboration. This partnership, born from the mutual respect between directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro, provides 11 exclusive items obtainable from Emil, who has established a shop within Stellar Blade's world.
The much-requested Photo Mode has finally arrived, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges have also been added to encourage players to utilize this feature.
Further additions include four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory altering Tachy Mode's appearance (unlocked after completing a specific ending), a "No Ponytail" option for increased customization, lip-sync support for six additional languages, improved projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functionality for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes.
