System Shock 2 Remaster Unveiled, To Release on Switch

Nightdive Studios' revamped version of the 1999 sci-fi horror RPG, initially titled System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, is now officially System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster. This updated edition is expanding its reach to include the Nintendo Switch.

The System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will soon launch on Windows PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The official synopsis:

The year is 2114. Awakening from cryo-sleep aboard the Von Braun starship, you find yourself with amnesia, amidst a catastrophic failure. Hybrid mutants and lethal robots prowl the ship's corridors, the screams of surviving crew echoing through the cold metal. SHODAN, a malevolent AI determined on humanity's annihilation, has seized control. Your mission: stop her. Explore the derelict Von Braun, uncovering its chilling secrets and the horrifying fate of its crew, deck by deck.

Nightdive Studios has confirmed that a release date and a new trailer will be unveiled during the Future Game Show Spring Showcase livestream on March 20, 2025.
