Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter is an upcoming deck-building roguelike by the legendary designer Kazuma Kaneko

Kazuma Kaneko, the iconic designer known for his work on Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Devil Summoner, is set to captivate fans once again with his latest project, Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter. Developed by COLOPL, this roguelike deck-building game will be available on PC, iOS, and Android, merging Kaneko's distinctive dark, mythological style with engaging card-based combat.

Set in a futuristic Tokyo Bay, Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter unfolds within The Hashira, a towering high-rise transformed into a sealed battleground. This eerie environment is now home to gods and demons, and players, as members of the elite national defense force Tsukuyomi, must ascend to the top floor to confront a formidable target.

Fans of Kaneko's previous works will recognize the game's setting, which skillfully intertwines urban decay with supernatural horror, creating an atmosphere rich in tension and steeped in mythology and cyberpunk themes. The game is slated for release later this year, promising an immersive experience.

In Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter, players will build a deck of powerful abilities as they navigate an ever-changing dungeon. Each run offers unique cards, layouts, and enemy encounters, ensuring that no two playthroughs are the same.

Combat in the game is characterized by fast-paced, turn-based battles where strategic decision-making is crucial. Players have only one action per turn, which can be either an attack or a defense move. The need for quick and accurate decision-making adds a layer of intensity to each encounter.

The dungeon exploration aspect of Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter includes branching paths and pivotal choices that significantly influence your journey. Each decision has lasting effects on battles and available resources. True to the roguelike genre, failure is harsh; losing a fight means starting over from the beginning, making strategic planning essential.

Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter is expected to launch around June 30th, though the date may shift. Stay tuned and secure your spot by pre-registering using the links provided below.
