Ubisoft's Project U: Leaked Gameplay Hints at Co-op Shooter

Ubisoft's unannounced Project U has had a tumultuous journey. Leaks began circulating in 2022, shortly after closed beta testing, and resurfaced in 2024, hinting at ongoing development. Now, following a reported development reboot, an introductory cinematic has leaked online.

The cinematic's authenticity remains unconfirmed, shared by gaming leaker Shaun Weber, who suggests more leaks may follow if development continues.

Project U is anticipated to be a session-based cooperative shooter, drawing inspiration from Helldivers 2. The leaked footage depicts an alien invasion of Earth, with players fighting as chosen defenders of humanity.

Ubisoft has yet to officially announce Project U or provide a release date.
