The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Premiere Date Revealed at IGN Fan Fest 2025

IGN Fan Fest 2025 delivered an exclusive announcement: The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 will premiere on May 4, 2025. The reveal included an exclusive clip and interviews with key cast and crew.

Lauren Cohen (Maggie) offered insight into Maggie's emotional state heading into Season 2: "It's not all sunshine and roses," she explained, highlighting the relatable family tensions amidst the apocalyptic backdrop. The challenges of raising a teenage son and caring for Ginny create familiar domestic struggles alongside the constant fight for survival.

PlayJeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) discussed Negan's precarious position, now under the control of The Dama and The Croat. He'll inevitably attempt to regain control, but faces significant challenges. Morgan also shared his fondness for Lucille, Negan's iconic barbed-wire bat, while acknowledging Lauren Cohen's less enthusiastic feelings towards the prop.

Scott Gimple, chief content officer, described the season's conflict as multifaceted, moving beyond a single antagonist. He hinted at shifting power dynamics, political maneuvering, and eventual physical confrontations.

IGN also showcased the opening minutes of Season 2's premiere episode.
