Warframe: 1999, known for its unique Y2K-infused action, is gearing up for an exciting update this March. As unveiled in one of the many official Digital Extremes devstreams, the Techrot Encore update is set to introduce the 60th Warframe, Temple, along with four new Protoframes and a host of new features. And if that's not enough, players will encounter familiar faces turned foes.
The Techrot Encore update introduces the Technocyte Coda to the Lich adversary system, marking the transformation of the once-popular boy band On-Lyne. Previously featured in the ARG leading up to Warframe: 1999's release, On-Lyne has now evolved into a formidable force, ready to challenge players in their mutated form.
To tackle these new threats, players will have access to four new Scaldra weapons, offering versatile options for both ranged and melee combat. Alongside these, the update brings enhancements to the Romance & Relationships system, a new Gyre Deluxe cosmetic skin, and the introduction of the new Protoframes and Warframe.
The turn-of-the-century aesthetic of Warframe: 1999 continues to captivate players, and the addition of boy-band turned cybernetic monstrosities adds a thrilling twist to the game's narrative.
In the lead-up to the March release, players can dive back into the action with the return of the Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast starting February 6th, alongside new skins and the eighth volume of Nightwave, offering even more rewards.
