To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is letting fans vote on the next official Yakuza/Like a Dragon merchandise items! A whopping 100 options are available, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but you can cast your vote on the official website.
The selection ranges from typical anniversary merch like hoodies and pencil cases to incredibly bizarre items directly referencing the series' famously outlandish moments.
Among the more unusual choices are Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, the giant traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other options include Majima's sake cup, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.
2025 will see at least one new entry in the series, Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean, launching February 21st. While a second release is unconfirmed, RGG Studio's prolific output (nine games in the last five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, and two Super Monkey Ball games) makes it a distinct possibility.
