Warzone Mobile Shuts Down: Call of Duty Ends Service

Author : Sophia Update:May 26,2025

After barely a year on the market, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is winding down its operations. Activision has officially announced that the mobile version of the popular battle royale game will no longer receive seasonal updates or new content. As of May 18th, the game has been removed from both the App Store and Google Play Store. Real-money transactions within the game have been disabled, and anyone who hasn't installed the app by the specified date will lose access permanently.

This decision marks an abrupt end to a highly anticipated mobile release that aimed to deliver the full Warzone experience to mobile users. While Activision expressed pride in how closely the mobile version mirrored its PC and console counterparts, the game reportedly struggled to capture the same level of engagement from the mobile gaming community.

For those who have the game installed, online access and matchmaking will continue to be available after May 19th. However, social features within the game will be turned off, and there is currently no announced date for when the servers might shut down completely. The in-game store will remain open, but only for players with existing COD Points; no new purchases can be made.

As a small consolation, players with unused COD Points from Warzone Mobile can redeem them in Call of Duty: Mobile. This redemption period is available until August 15th. By logging into Call of Duty: Mobile with the same Activision account, players will receive double the value of their remaining Warzone Mobile COD Points, along with additional rewards.

For those who have not yet installed or reinstalled the game by May 19th, this is your final opportunity. After this date, no refunds will be provided, and the game will become inaccessible. This development serves as a stark reminder that even the most prominent franchises can face challenges in achieving sustained success on mobile platforms.
