Application Description

A simple, non-field RPG where you escape a cursed forest. -Prologue- You're the village's best hunter. A national hunting tournament is held near the royal capital, and you've traveled to compete. After the opening ceremony, you ventured into the forest, full of enthusiasm. Waking up after your first night, you discover something unsettling: your camp is deserted, and the other hunters have vanished. National guards oversee the tournament, yet there's no one in sight. You cautiously begin to explore, only to realize you're lost. The forest seems to be playing tricks on you, leading you back to the same spot. Your usually impeccable sense of direction fails you. This is undeniably strange.

-What is the "Elven Curse"?- This non-field RPG casts you as a hunter trying to escape a cursed forest, aided by a quarter-elf. Gameplay is incredibly streamlined, using a maximum of three buttons outside the main menu.

-Character Creation- While you can't manually customize your character, you can reroll stats as often as needed. Stat increases per level-up are only visible on this screen; this information isn't available during gameplay. Character death occurs when your life force reaches zero, unless you have at least two "talismans."

-Foria, the Peddler Quarter-Elf- A young(?) quarter-elf you encounter in the forest. Despite their childlike appearance, they claim to be older than you and secretly assist your escape using the forest's ancient spirits.

-Scenario and Setting- The prologue unfolds like a visual novel. Foria's dialogue is cheerful, contrasting with the quiet, suggestive tone of the overall narrative.

-Exploration Mode- You navigate the forest by exploring unexplored areas. The success of each exploration attempt depends on the "fog depth" of the area, influenced by your character's stats. If your life force is depleted, you can use poison to restore it, or, in some cases, rare "talismans." You might need to return to Foria for assistance.

-Beast Encounters and Hunter Battles- Dangerous creatures roam the forest, including common animals that unexpectedly attack. Defeating them yields hides for trading with Foria. Unlike typical RPGs, there's no battle-based leveling. The goal is escape; there are no set boss battles, and all encounters are avoidable (though this requires luck or strategic play). As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow. You can only shoot safely from a distance, allowing attacks without counterattacks. At close range, you face a one-sided attack. You can either withdraw to regain distance or use a "flash" ball given by Foria for a guaranteed escape.

-Cloak and Layering System- You craft a cloak from gathered materials (branches, resin, leather) to enhance your abilities. It can have up to three layers, with the ability boost being the sum of all layers. It might also restore vitality. Note that the top layer can be damaged and eventually tear. The bow and arrow remain unchanged.

This isn't just a game; it's an experience focused on exploration and strategic decision-making. It emphasizes resource management, synthesis, and alchemy, along with careful planning before each stage. It's relaxing, allowing progress even with infrequent play.

-Autosave- The game autosaves, but not during battles. For reliable saves, exit to the main menu before closing the app.
