Ubisoft Mainz has recently shared exciting new details about their upcoming game, Anno 117: Pax Romana, through an engaging new trailer. Initially, the game was announced to feature exploration in two distinct regions: Lazio and Albion. The latest preview suggests that players will start their journey in the tranquil region of Lazio before being propelled into the main setting of Albion due to an unexpected disaster.
According to Creative Director Manuel Rainer, Lazio serves as a peaceful starting point, but an unforeseen calamity forces players to venture into the uncharted territories of Britain, known as Albion. This region presents unique challenges with its harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and its distance from Rome, making governance a complex task.
In Anno 117: Pax Romana, players take on the role of a governor with the mission to navigate these challenges without relying solely on violence. Instead, players can promote peace by respecting and integrating with local customs. A notable feature of the game includes customizable ships, where players can make strategic decisions such as enhancing speed with additional oarsmen or bolstering firepower with archery turrets on board.
Anno 117: Pax Romana is set to launch in 2025 and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X, promising a rich and immersive gaming experience for players across these platforms.
